As the 500bhp engine this version is further modified with a more heavily ported cylinder head, larger inlet and inconel exhaust valves, double valve springs and titanium retainers, bronze valve guides and ARP 625 head studs.
We still use new Mitusbishi pistons and Farndon rods (with a lower compression ratio) as these pistons offer the longest service life with no piston slap and virtually no oil consumption! Many people fit forged pistons at this power level which is completely unescessary, and usually results in unwelcome piston noise and oil consumption!
Balance shafts are removed, front pulley is changed to a fluid damper and an AMS sump is standard fit at this power level. The same thick wall tubular manifold is now fitted with a Garrett HTA35 turbo. The inlet manifold is replaced with a larger plenum volume item of which there are several options including our own designed item. Maximum safe rpm is now 8300rpm.
