The Focus RS zetec engine is very extensively used but here we concentrate on modifying the later “black top” 2.0 unit for turbo use as used on the Focus RS mk1.
Unfortunately unlike the Cosworth YB, the Zetec cylinder head is severely compromised by its poor port design and this seriously limits the ultimate tuning potential. The exhaust ports are extremely small and badly shaped as std and as such this limits the tuning potential as we are restricted on port and valve size!
