This engine is an evolution of the 500bhp unit, utilising the same cylinder head but now with the addition of a pair of our solid lifter profile cams and Arrow followers, a 2wd exhaust manifold, new inlet manifold, a Garrett HTA35 turbo and external wastegate, and the pistons are now changed from Mahle to our custom spec forged units. The engine still utilises the std crankshaft and conrods.
Whilst this engine is street usable, the nature of the cams and turbo is to promote high rpm power, and as such requires a change in gearing from the standard 3.6 to either 3.9 or 4.4. The safe rev limit is 8500rpm and requires a lightweight twin plate clutch. (We offer two options, 7 ¼ or 8” twin plate)
