The std 2wd Intercooler is
adequate for power outputs up to around 270bhp. Beyond this I recommend
the Sapphire 4X4 intercooler which is adequate up to around 330bhp. Beyond
this power level I advise the fitment of either a genuine Behr RS500
intercooler or any of the new breeds of RS500 style intercoolers as
offered by companies such as Pro Alloy and Radtech. However in a search
for even more power, and lower ACT's, the latest creation for my own 3dr
Cosworth is a quad 2wd Cosworth intercooler. This offers over twice the core
volume of the RS500 unit and is literally the largest intercooler you can
physically fit in the engine bay without having to relocate the radiator!
